Last day in the Smokys

This morning we started out the day by cooking breakfast on a rock next to the river. After breakfast we headed towards Laurel Falls. On the way we saw a young male black bear walk across the road in front of us. It started munching on a small bush next to the car. Shortly after we arrived at the trail for a 2.4 mile hike to the falls and back. While hiking, on the way back we say a mamma black bear and her 2 small cubs.

    Great place to visit! And a great hike...good choice you two! PS...tourists park their cars on the side of the road for hours hoping to see a black bear!
